Epicentre Theatre Company presents the Cosi by Louis Nowra at Chatswood’s Zenith Theatre (NSW) from March 23, 2012.

Cosi was written for the stage in 1992 by Aussie playwright Louis Nowra (Sunrise, Capricornia, The Marvelous Boy, Inside the Island, Radiance, The Precious Woman). His screen adaptation later became a feature film starring Barry Otto, Toni Collette and Ben Mendelsohn.

Rehearsals are well under way for MLOC’s June production of The Witches of Eastwick.

Director Jane Court notes that there are great roles in the show for all ages, ranging from the Little Girl, played by twelve year old Lily Nicolson, to the more mature lead male role of Darryl Van Horne. The abundant female roles, including four main leads and five minor roles, have attracted many strong women performers.

A PLAY from award-winning US playwright David Mamet will have its WA Premiere from April 13, 2012 at Roleystone Theatre.

Directed by Eliot McCann, Boston Marriage focuses on two women living together at the turn of the 20th century,on the fringes of upper-class society.

Their intimate relationship hits troubled waters and both tussle for the upper hand as one becomes a wealthy man’s mistress and the other becomes infatuated with a young girl.

Flying Feathers, a risqué farce written by Derek Benfield and directed by the Sunshine Coast’s award winning Nancy Kinmond, will be presented Coolum Theatre Players on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast from March 23.

It is set in England at the country house of Bernard who has gone to live in a religious community in Scotland.  In his absence, a new housekeeper has used her initiative in a creative way, resulting in hilarious confusion when Bernard’s brother Henry, a Chief Constable, arrives unannounced with his sister Sarah.
