Thriller for Frankston
Frankston Theatre Group (Vic.) presents thriller Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott from March 2, 2012.
A recently blinded woman isterrorized by a trio of thugs while they search for a heroin stuffeddoll they believe is in her apartment - a Broadway hit, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense toanother as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping finalscene. Wait Until Dark was seen on the big screen in the 1960s featuring Audrey Hepburn.
Director David McCall says, “This is a young cast, most of whom weren't around in 1968, so explaining the feelings and attitudes of the time has helped them bring the characters to life. A great set and a hard working back stage crew all help to tell how Suzy's naïve trust is destroyed by the conmen and the evilness of "Mr Roat", as she struggles to deal with web of lies they have woven around her.”
The Frankston cast features Marc Moore as Mike, Boki Stanisic as Croker, Michael Laity as Roat, Anthony Mendolia as Sam, Naomi Woodward as Suzy, Eden Moule as Gloria, Martin Byrne as the Policeman and Jayne Copeland as the Policewoman.
At George Jenkins Theatre - 8 pm on 2, 3, 9 & 10 March. Matinee 2pm on Sat 10 March.
BOOKINGS: 1300 665 377
