Squabbalogic Returns with Herringbone

Squabbalogic Independent Music Theatre returns to the Sydney stage in January 2019, with their first full production since 2017, Herringbone - A Vaudevillian Ghost Story by Tom Cone, Skip Kennon and Ellen Fitzhugh, in association with KXT and Bakehouse Theatre Company.

This darkly comic, hilariously disturbing southern gothic tale is a vaudevillian ghost story told by eleven larger than life characters. They just don’t know there’s only one actor in the cast.

NORPA Season 2019

Northern NSW based theatre company NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts) has revealed its 2019 Season, including the return of the company’s sell-out hit Dreamland re-imagined for Bangalow’s iconic A&I Hall, Bell Shakespeare with Much Ado About Nothing, I Want to Know What Love Is by QLD based company The Good Room, and a premiere performance by Katie Noonan with the Australian String Quartet.

Sydney Premiere of Margaret Fulton: Queen of The Dessert

The Bondi Theatre Company cast of the Margaret Fulton: Queen of the Dessert have had a close encounter with the Australian cooking legend, who is the subject of their production from October 12 – 27.

The musical is based on the biography of Margaret Fulton I sang for my supper, tracking her life from a school girl to a national cooking superstar who sold 1.5 million books.

Cast and creatives were thrilled recently to meet the almost 94-year-old in the Southern Highlands, to learn a little about her life.  

Ethan Sings for Farmers in Adelaide

In 2015 when Ethan Hall sang “Advance Australia Fair” at an Adelaide Bite Baseball game at 7 years of age with the "hiccups", the video clip went viral overnight, resulting in media interviews, both national and international.

Catch Me If You Can for Hayes in 2019

Truth is stranger than fiction. From the producer who brought you Cry-Baby, High Fidelity and Rent, Lauren Peters, comes the musical Catch Me If You Can. Based on the biographical hit film of the same name, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, Catch Me If You Can will play from 19 July 2019 as part of the Hayes Theatre Co 2019 season.

In the Heights for Opera House

The Sydney Opera House Concert Hall will be transformed into a vibrant Manhattan street corner during January 2019 for the Sydney return of In the Heights, Tony Award-winning musical from one of America’s most acclaimed writers and producers, Lin-Manuel Miranda (Moana, Hamilton).

We Will Rock You – Arena Spectacular

Two musical theatre stars return to Canberra, their hometown, to headline the cast in the upcoming production of We Will Rock You The Arena Spectacular.

Toby Francis, who recently played the lead in the Kinky Boots has been cast as Galileo whilst Queenie van de Zandt, of King Kong, Funny Girl and Jan van de Stool fame, will play the role of the villain Killer Queen.
