We Will Rock You – Arena Spectacular

Two musical theatre stars return to Canberra, their hometown, to headline the cast in the upcoming production of We Will Rock You – The Arena Spectacular.

Toby Francis, who recently played the lead in the Kinky Boots has been cast as Galileo whilst Queenie van de Zandt, of King Kong, Funny Girl and Jan van de Stool fame, will play the role of the villain Killer Queen.

Well known Canberra based actors Max Gambale and David Cannell will appear as Khashoggi and Buddy whilst Dave Smith will take on the role of Britt.   Playing opposite him as Oz will be Samantha Marceddo. They will be joined by a supporting cast of 35.

Written by Ben Elton, and featuring over 20 classic Queen songs, We Will Rock You is to be presented at the AIS Arena from 7-10 November 2018, before travelling toWIN Entertainment Centre Wollongong on 16 & 17 November.

Supported by a band featuring the cream of Canberra’s professional rock musicians, the show will utilize spectacular lighting, video content from the original UK production, LED screens, mammoth sound production and a multi-dimensional set.

The We Will Rock You castrecently performed in aid of ‘Brainstorm”, the annual Cure Brain Cancer Foundation gala charity event and they now look forward to kicking up more of a storm when they take over the AIS and WIN in November.
