A Window into Private Lives at Cronulla

During August and September, Arts Theatre Cronulla is presenting its latest production, Private Lives, a comedy written by Noël Coward, one of the most prominent dramatists of his era. It is considered one of Coward’s most brilliantly realised plays, characterised by his trademark witty dialogue.

Spud Racing Premiere on the Apple Isle

SQUID INC Theatre is excited to announce that the Tasmanian Premiere of Melanie Tait’s light-hearted comedy, The Appleton Ladies Potato Race, which was postponed earlier this year due to Covid, is now re-scheduled and will run for 4 performances in September 2024!

Thanks to the very generous support of Do Maur Productions, The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race will be staged in the West Park Playhouse in Burnie from Thursday 12 September to Saturday 14 September.

No, no, no… yes! It’s The Vicar of Dibley On Stage in WA

HARBOUR Theatre in WA has received a higher calling and is blessing its divine audiences with a heavenly stage production of The Vicar of Dibley in August / September 2024

Directed by Dr Jarrod Buttery at the Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall, it is an official stage adaptation by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter based on the original 1990s TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer.

Bundaberg Players Mark Major Milestones

Since its formation in 1951, the Bundaberg Players Incorporated (formerly Bundaberg Amateur Players), has provided an annual program of entertainment, and this year they will reach a remarkable performance milestone.

Plans are progressing well for ‘Revue 500’, which will celebrate the staging of 500 productions by the Bundaberg Players Incorporated this September.

This revue will be a concert-style production featuring songs, dance, and reflective moments from the organisation’s last 499 shows.

But the band isn't playing, the waiters are ignoring them, and no-one can keep their issues to themselves. On the surface, a comedy of characters, but underneath the farce lies the loneliness and intimacy that strike to the heart of any human just looking for connection.

Kooky, Spooky Addams Family Musical at Roleystone

A macabre and darkly humorous take on The Addams Family is spooking the stage as a hauntingly ghoulish musical at Roleystone Theatre in June and July 2024.

Directed by Michelle Ezzy, the show features The Addams Family characters you remember – but Wednesday is all grown up and now has a boyfriend.

Hands on a Hardbody: Crazy Texas Car Contest Musical

A DOCUMENTARY about a bizarre Texas competition to win a pickup truck has been given new life as a musical, playing at Limelight Theatre in WA during June / July 2024.

Directed by David Nelson and Jane Anderson, Hands on a Hardbody tells the story of an annual endurance contest where the last person standing with their hands on the vehicle wins it.

The musical is based on the documentary with each character getting a chance to share their story through song.
