Tim McFarlane to head Ambassador Theatre Group ASIA/PACIFIC

Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), the UK’s largest theatre owner/operator and producing group, has announced that Tim McFarlane has agreed to join ATG in the newly created role of CEO for ATG Asia/Pacific.

STC Appoints Three Resident Directors

Sarah Goodes, Kip Williams and Sarah Giles will take up positions of Co Resident Directors at Sydney Theatre Company from 1 January 2013. Each will direct a main stage show in 2013 and as part of their roles will conduct workshops and script developments, take part in STC’s Rough Drafts program and facilitate readings and dramaturgical assignments. They will participate in artistic programming and propose development projects, while exploring opportunities for career path development for emerging artists.

WINNERS OF THE 2012 VICTORIAN INDIGENOUS PERFORMING ARTS (VIPA) AWARDS

ILBIJERRI, Songlines and 3KND announced the nine recipients of the 2012 Victorian Indigenous Performing Arts (VIPA) Awards over three categories: theatre, music and broadcasting at a celebration at Wonderland Spiegeltent in the Docklands on Monday November 26.

For the last 15 years, ILBIJERRI has presented the VIPA Awards to celebrate the outstanding achievements in the Indigenous performing arts across Victoria, which are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who live and work in Victoria.

Tonight (November 19, 2012) in Melbourne, the winner of the annual Rob Guest Endowment was announced at the Gala Concert hosted by Bert Newtown, Rob Mills andLucy Durack at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Stars Once Again LIGHT THE NIGHT in Support of Bone Marrow Charity

An eclectic group of performers has been announced for the LIGHT THE NIGHT 2012 fundraising concert, to be held at 7.30pm on Monday 22 October at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place.

The concert, which raises much needed funds for the Arrow Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation, will be hosted by musical theatre star Rob Mills and international musical therapist Jan van de Stool.
