A HIP and hilarious musical loosely based on the timeless play Cyrano de Bergerac will groove up the stage at Western Australia's Roleystone Theatre in March 2017.

Written by Barry Wyner and directed by Madeleine Shaw and Tyler Eldridge, Calvin Berger is a story of unrequited feelings, love notes and physical insecurity among four high school students.

Rockdale Musical Society presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I from 3-12 March 2017 at Rockdale Town Hall.

The production features a cast of almost 60 actors, singers and dancers – including 26 children - as well as a full orchestra, all set in the 19th century royal palace of Bangkok.

A behind-the-scenes look at the filming of Gone With The Wind, and some of the problems encountered, is the first production of 2017 for Limelight Theatre in Wanneroo, WA.

Written by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter Ron Hutchinson and directed by Carryn McLean, Moonlight and Magnolias is loosely based on the fact that, in 1939, Gone With The Wind producer David O. Selznick shut down production after three weeks of filming because he was unhappy with the screenplay.

Demand for the lavish sets, which have already been created for the mega-musical, exceeds their availability.
