How does one investigate a murder when there is no body?

This is the premise of Busybody, the upcoming production at Hunters Hill Theatre, opening on November 8, 2013.

Andrew Redfern describes his first gig as director for Hunters Hill Theatre as “a good ole murder mystery with a big dose of comedy”.

Whilst Andrew is no newcomer to the stage, he is usually found on stage rather than behind the scenes.

Andrew is currently juggling several hats at HHT, where he’s president as well as the Box Office Manager.

The Hills Musical Society (NSW) is presenting a varied end to its 2013 season with two simultaneous shows, RENT and Gutenberg! The Musical! at its new home at Castle Hill RSL from October 30 to November 3.

Theatre-goers will be familiar with RENT, the Tony award-winning masterpiece by Jonathon Larson, and director / set designer Jeff Fisher promises a fresh, reflective take on the show.

WITH an abundance of changing identities, twists and surprises, Melville Theatre’s November 2013 production has been described as a “Russian doll of a play”.

Written by Roger Leach and Colin Wakefield and directed by Joan Scafe, Audience with Murder moves from a seemingly innocuous domestic play reading, through a murder- mystery in the classic style, to a final terrifying and violent climax.

It was first produced at the 2004 Edinburgh Festival, then subsequently at London’s Jermyn Street Theatre in 2006.

Inclusive Music Theatre is currently rehearsing a unique production of  the Andrew Lloyd Webber Tim Rice rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar at The Whitehorse Centre in Nunawading (Vic) on December 22nd 2013.
