MISTAKEN identities, slamming doors and a con that spirals out of control are all taking place at Melville Theatre in September 2018. 

They’re all part of the fast-paced British comedy Cash On Delivery, written by Michael Cooney and directed by Georgina Kling.

The story follows a con artist who has duped welfare authorities for years by claiming benefits for the plethora of people he claims live at his address. 

The August / September 2018 production at Arts Theatre Cronulla, directed by Natalie Banach, is Mr Bailey’s Minder, by Sydney playwright Debra Oswald.

Leo Bailey is one of Australia’s greatest living artists, but at this late stage in his life exhibits the destructive effects of a life of excessive alcohol and cynicism. With his house disintegrating along with his body after a lifetime of abuse, Leo oscillates between vitriol and pathos. 

A comedy exploration of 21st century singles and social graces beds down at the Shenton Park Community Centre (WA) in August 2018, as part of Blak Yak Theatre’s latest offering.

Written by Perth playwright Martin Lindsay and directed by Dr Melissa Merchant, One Night One Day is a modern farce about the chances people take – and the regrets they have over chances they miss.

Greg and Rachel are both in their late 20s, feeling pressure from family and friends to find “the one” and, instead, find each other.

Hunters Hill Theatre (HHT) continue their 2018 season with Death Knell, a thriller set in the bitterly cold winter of the Scottish Highlands.
