As opening night of the Empire Theatre’s major 2023 musical The Boy from Oz approaches, cast and crew are hard at work putting the finishing touches to the show.
The Boy From Oz, presented by Mort & Co, will feature talented local vocalists, dancers and musicians, who are set to dazzle when the curtain is finally lifted for the six show season from Friday 17 March to Sunday 26 March.
Michael Parker’s farce Who’s in Bed with the Butler is one of a string of box office hits written in the British style of naughty but nice, developed for the American Market. An interesting note is that Michael met his wife Susan in the theatre; in fact, he cast her in the role of “Suzy Legere” in his world premiere of “Who’s In Bed With The Butler?” in California, in which he had the role of the butler.
This March 22-26th, Sydney’s Miranda Musical Theatre Company (formerly Miranda Musical Society) will be bringing rock-musical Rent to the Sutherland Shire.
