Toowoomba Choral Society Announces 90th Anniversary Les Misérables Team

The Toowoomba Choral Society has announced Martin Paroz as Director and Nerida Eckert as Musical Director for their 90^th Anniversary production of Les Misérables at the Empire Theatre in September 2023.

Martin Paroz has directed and starred in successful musical productions in South East Queensland, having also worked with Opera Queensland. Martin is passionate about creating an engaging and memorable theatre experience for audiences of all ages, and is excited to lead the Choral Creative Team.

Nerida Eckert is a highly accomplished Musical Director, Conductor, and woodwind specialist with over 20 years of experience. She is well-respected for her ability to bring out the best in performers and is the current conductor for the Society's Contemporary Choir. Nerida is excited to work with the talented cast of Les Misérables and create an unforgettable musical experience for audiences.

Les Misérables is an iconic musical that has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, the story follows the journey of Jean Valjean as he struggles to escape his past and create a new life for himself. With unforgettable songs such as "I Dreamed a Dream" and "One Day More," Les Misérables is sure to be a hit with audiences in Toowoomba.

The Toowoomba Choral Society is thrilled to have such experienced and talented individuals leading the production of Les Misérables.

Tickets for Les Misérables will go on sale in April for a strictly limited season in September via the Empire Theatre website.
