Darlinghurst Theatre Company has announced the full cast for its production of Tony Award-winning musical drama Falsettos, opening at the Eternity Playhouse on 7 February 2014 and presented as part of the 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Wesley Enoch’s Philip Parsons Memorial Lecture at Belvoir on Sunday September 8, 2013, has already stirred up controversy in Melbourne before it is delivered, as evidenced in the following media release from the MTC.

Melbourne Theatre Company is extremely disappointed by QTC Artistic Director Wesley Enoch’s comments quoted in today’s Age newspaper (December 7), accusing the Company of immorally refusing to pay artists in its landmark NEON Festival of Independent Theatre.

The Velveteen Rabbit: Out of Town Premiere for New Australian Musical

THE VELVETEEN RABBIT - A New Musical, a new piece of Australian musical theatre will premiere with an 'out-of-town' run at Windsor Function Centre (NSW) on December 6 & 7 2013.

Based on Margery Williams'  classic children's, it has a script by Gerard Margetson and a score by composer / lyricist Jye Bryant.

Tod Strike to Headline Victorian Tour HAIR

StageArt Australia’s revival production of HAIR Summer of Love is packing up the hippy van and preparing to spread the timeless message of PEACE, FREEDOM and LOVE across the state of Victoria in 2014 after the show’s successful 2013 revival in Melbourne.

The Dream Celebrates 25 Years of Shakespeare in Melbourne Gardens.

This summer will mark a quarter of a century of Shakespeare in Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens. To celebrate the 25th Anniversary, the Australian Shakespeare Company will remount A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the first play performed in 1988, that over the decades has proven to be Melbourne’s favourite Shakespeare under the stars.

The season runs from 21 December 2013 to 15 March 2014.

Audiences will be treated to a one-off Q&A with the cast of the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels after the performance on Wednesday 4thDecember at 1.00pm. To celebrate the successful Sydney season in its final week at the Theatre Royal, the stars of the show including Tony-nominated actor Tony Sheldon, Matt Hetherington, TV legend John Wood and leading ladies Amy Lehpamer, Katrina Retallick and Anne Wood, will return to the stage to answer any questions the audience may have.
