Eureka Day - Comedy for Adelaide in November

One of the world’s most hot-button issues right now – vaccination – will be explored on stage in November 2021 in Eureka Day, presented by State Theatre Company South Australia.

Hailed by the New York Times as the “perfect comedy for our age of disagreement”, Jonathan Spector’s comedy of (overly polite) manners will bring together a cast including Glynn Nicholas (ABC’s The Big Gig), Caroline Craig (Underbelly, Blue Heelers), Sara Zwangobani (Home & Away), Matt Hyde and Juanita Navas-Nguyen.

Boomkak Panto to Reopen Belvoir.

Belvoir St Theatre is reopening with the world premiere of The Boomkak Panto, a ridiculously flamboyant and hilarious pantomime by award-winning actor Virginia Gay, from 20th November to 23rd December.

Darlo Reopens Its Doors With Fling Festival

On Thursday 28 October, Darlinghurst Theatre Company will fling open its doors and invite audiences back to its home at the Eternity Playhouse. Artistic Director Amylia Harris has assembled a jam-packed lineup for what she is calling a Fling Festival. “We’re all desperate to break up with lockdown and enjoy some non-committal spring fun,” she says. “Our community needs to find joy, but on its own terms. Everyone’s been told what to do for so long and now it’s time to curate our own post-lockdown experience. You be you!”

Adelaide Fringe 2022 - Winning Poster Design

The countdown to next year’s Adelaide Fringe is officially underway from today, with the unveiling of the 2022 Poster Design – awarded to the youngest ever winner and first Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artist in the festival’s 62-year history.

Titled A Whimsical World, the winning poster – designed by emerging 22-year-old Arabana and Kokatha visual artist Mali Isabel and revealed this morning at the APY Lands Gallery in Adelaide – incorporates dot design in a beautiful array of rainbow colours.
