Full Cast of American Psycho Unleashed

Producers BB-Arts Entertainment & Two Doors Productions in association with Hayes Theatre Co have announced the remaining cast members for the upcoming Australian Premiere of AMERICAN PSYCHO - THE MUSICAL. Playing at the Hayes Theatre Co from 10 May 2019, AMERICAN PSYCHO - THE MUSICAL is based on the thriller novel by Bret Easton Ellis of the same name, which also inspired the 2000 film starring Christian Bale.

Craig McLachlan charged

The ABC is reporting that Craig McLachlan has been charged with assault and sex offences by Victoria Police.

Victoria Police confirmed to the ABC that sex crime detectives charged a 53-year-old NSW man with one count of common law assault, eight counts of indecent assault, and one count of attempted indecent assault.

According the the ABC Mr McLachlan was charged on summons to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on February 8, 2019.

Aussie Aladdin on Broadway

Australian music theatre star Ainsley Melham is taking his magic carpet all the way to Broadway. After touring Australia in Aladdin -The Musical, Ainsley will make his Broadway debut in the title role of the American production at Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre on the 19th Feb.

He will be joined by fellow original Australian Cast members Michael James Scott as the Genie and Arielle Jacobs as Jasmine. Having opened the Australian production together back in 2016, this reunion sees them performing together again till mid-July ‘19.

Barnum For Melbourne in 2019

Broadway musical Barnum returns to Australia in an all-new production at the Comedy Theatre, Melbourne from April 27, 2019, directed by Tyran Parke.

Starring in the new Australian production as America’s legendary circus impresario and unparalleled showman, P.T. Barnum will be Todd McKenney. Rachael Beck will play the devoted wife of P.T. Barnum, Charity and joining the cast playing Joice Heth, is Akina Edmonds.

Josh McElroy is portraying Ned in the NSW premiere of Ned – A New Australian Musical at the New Theatre from Dec 18 until 22. The musical by Adam Lyon, Anna Lyon and Mark McIntyre was first staged in Bendigo in 2015, where it opened the Ulumbarra Theatre. Since taking the role Josh has explored a family connection to the Kelly gang.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock musical School of Rock has announced Brisbane and Sydney seasons for 2019.

Worldwide Executive Producer, Madeleine Lloyd Webber and producer GWB Entertainment, have announced that following the Melbourne season at Her Majesty’s Theatre, the production will embark on an Asia Pacific tour including a national tour of China as well as seasons in Brisbane at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from July 2019 and the Capitol Theatre in Sydney from November 2019.
