Young Actors Announced for Sydney Season of The Bodyguard

Producers Michael Harrison, David Ian and John Frost today announced the four young actors who will share the role of Fletcher, the son of the Rachel Marron character, during the Sydney season of the international award-winning hit musical THE BODYGUARD. The young actors are Rome Champion (10 years old, of Pyrmont), Tyrese Medina (8, Russell Lea), Chetachi Nwaogazi (10, Yagoona) and Joshua Scott (11, Carss Park).

 

Only Heaven Knows Lead Actor Announced

Following the announcement of a new 30th anniversary production of Alex Harding’s Australian musical Only Heaven Knows at Hayes Theatre Co later this year, Luckiest Productions have revealed their leading actor and hero images.

Todd McKenney To Play Captain Hook

Producer Bonnie Lythgoe announced that one of Australia’s most popular all round theatre, television, radio and film performers Todd McKenney will play the role of Captain Hook in the The Adventures of Peter Pan & Tinker Bell.

When announcing the casting Bonnie Lythgoe said, “By hook or by crook, Todd will be Captain Hook; he is witty and smart and great for the part. Todd is the one and only ‘Hook’ for me. He sings, he acts and he dances like a dream. Just Perfect!

Green Day’s American Idiot for Brisbane

American Idiot, the rock musical based on Green Day’s Grammy® Award-winning multi-platinum album, makes its way down under for its Australian premiere season at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC).

The Playhouse, QPAC will be transformed into a grungy mosh pit for the exclusive to Brisbane, Australian premiere season, running from 23 February 2017.

The Full Monty Cast Announced

StageArt has announced the cast for The Full Monty, a ten-time Tony Award nominated musical, which plays from Friday 3 March until Sunday 19 March 2017 at The National Theatre, St Kilda.

Only Heaven Knows Revival for Hayes in 2017

My Fair Lady Returns to Sydney in 2017

Opera Australia’s Lyndon Terraciniand John Frosthave announced announce that Lerner & Loewe’s My Fair Lady directed by Julie Andrews will return to Sydney on Sunday August 27, 2017 following seasons in Brisbane and Melbourne.

The return production will have a new home in the Capitol Theatre.  Tickets go on sale on Monday November 7.
