Edythe Brook Cooper Playwriting Competition 2020

Edythe Brook Cooper was a member of BATS Theatre Co. Inc from the late 1980’s until her death in 2003. Her first play to be produced by BATS was Kisses In The Sky, set in Milton in Brisbane behind the Castlemaine brewery, and the name referred to the four Xs on the roof. This was followed by many others over the next 20 years.

Writing was Edythe’s passion. Many of her plays have been published by The Australian Script Centre.

The Magicians Cabaret (Darlinghurst) presents the celebration of French Bastille Day 2019 with the production of Cabaret La Belle Rose on July 11 & 12 at 7.00pm and July 14 at 2pm.

Having played at the annual Bastille French Festival (2015-2018), Cabaret La Belle Rose is back in town with its pure heartfelt Parisian entertainment!

Stan Kouros, a co-founder of Actors Centre Australia (ACA), is returning to the stage after a break of almost thirty years to take the role of Walker in the Company of Rogues production of Boy Out of the Country at the Bondi Pavilion Theatre May 9-25, 2019.

Felix Nobis' award-winning play tells the story of troubled country boy, Hunter, who returns home from the city after a mysterious seven-year absence to find the family property swept up in a new development, his mother in aged care, and his brother Gordon in charge.

The forest comes alive this May at the Adelaide Showground. The Cunning Little Vixen is a musical celebration of nature and the cycle of life. Set in an idyllic forest, the opera follows a Vixen’s journey from youth to adulthood, where, with the help of her forest friends and a handsome Fox, Vixen faces growing up and the excitement and uncertainty that a changing world brings.
