Gerry Connolly Replaces Alan Jones in Sydney Season of Anything Goes

Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini AM and leading Australian theatre producer John Frost AM today announced that Gerry Connolly would play the Captain of the S.S. American in the Sydney Opera House season of their production of Anything Goes following his success during the Melbourne and Brisbane seasons. Due to his increased radio and television commitments, Alan Jones has had to withdraw from the role.

Singin' In The Rain Confirms Sydney Season

The splash-hit West End stage production SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN will open at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre in July 7, 2016 starring an all-Australian cast including star of stage and screen Adam Garcia. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 17 July 2015.

Jekyll and Hyde "postponed"

The Gordon Frost Organisation and Opera Australia have announced that their new production of Jekyll and Hyde would be "postponed."

In a statement released this morning they stated that "With building interest from international co producers and the incredible scale of the production now evident, the producers have made the decision to delay the Australian season to ensure that this most magnificent reimagining of Jekyll and Hyde is given the time required for both its Australian Premiere and future international exposure.

World Premiere of New Australian Astaire/Rogers Musical

Cats Cast Announced

The Producers of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS have announced the all-Australian cast for the acclaimed West End revival production which tours Australia from October this year, starring Delta Goodrem as Grizabella.

This much-loved record-breaking musical opens in Sydney on 30 October and is then touring to Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide finishing in Perth in April 2016.  Tickets are on sale now.

AUSSIE DIVAS SING BLUES FOR BILLIE

Seven great Australian female singers come together for a very special one-off event at The Sydney Opera House to pay tribute to the late Billie Holiday, otherwise known as ‘Lady Day’. The concert Ladies Sing the Blues, will feature Lady Cool, Amanda Easton, Liza Ohlback, Lucinda Peters, Lindsay Drummond, Joy Yates and Dahlia Dior. They will be backed by a live band consisting of Rick Mellick on Piano, John Maddox on Bass, Chris Fields on Drums and Tim Rollinson on Guitar.
