Big River Next Neglected Musical

Neglected Musicals in association with Hayes Theatre Co will present Big River at Hayes Theatre Co from Wednesday 18 April, 2018, for six presentations only.  Directed by Ellen Simpson, this musical is based on Mark Twain's classic 1884 novel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the musical features music in the bluegrass and country styles in keeping with the setting of the novel. The 1985 Broadway production ran for more than 1,000 performances and it remained one of the few very successful American musicals in the mid-1980s.

MADIBA the Musical Celebrates Mandela

Energetic and compelling new stage show Madiba the Musical - a Celebration of the Life of Nelson Mandela opens in Melbourne in October 2018 and will tour to Sydney and Canberra in November.  Dates and booking information for Perth, Adelaide and New Zealand to be announced.

Madiba the Musical, which celebrates the life of the former South African leader who would have turned 100 in July this year, is interwoven with stories of the fight against apartheid and forbidden love in a troubled land.

Assassins Return Season at Opera House

The Sydney Opera House has announced that the Hayes Theatre Co’s critically acclaimed production of the darkly entertaining, revue-style musical Assassins will play in the Playhouse in June 2018, starring David Campbell.

StageArt Announces Cast for bare

StageArt has announced the cast for the Victorian professional premiere of bare the Musical, which will play at Prahran’s Chapel off Chapel from 20 March – 15 April 2018.

The contemporary cult classic pop opera is set at a Catholic boarding school in the early 2000s.

Australian Premiere for Garfield Musical

StageArt has announced the first ever Australian production of Garfield: The Musical with Cattitude, in Melbourne. They will be bringing the musical to Prahran’s Chapel off Chapel from 3 April to 13 April 2018as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
