Peter Pan - The British Musical

Peter Pan - The British Musical

Assumption Catholic Primary School - Mandurah, W.A.
A school production is no easy task and yet the excitement that we have felt towards Peter Pan has been significant. We chose Peter Pan because the story is a classic and one that everyone knows. It’s also very adaptable for children and has many characters. We were able to incorporate a few extra characters to make up the numbers of children we had. The children made the journey of this production one that we will never forget. They dedicated their afternoons, weekends and school holidays to rehearse for the three performances. The children range from Year 4 to Year 7 and showed a great deal of maturity and professionalism at each performance. The crowd was amazed by their talents and at times forgot they were watching children. For some of the cast they had never been on stage before and this opportunity has given them an insight on what they can achieve in The Performing Arts. The Cast and production team have worked tirelessly over the past ten months and have had many wonderful times bringing to the life the story of Peter Pan. The show was a huge success thanks to the Assumption Catholic Primary School community and all who were involved.
