Peter Pan
Ivanhoe Grammar School Plenty Campus
Ivanhoe Grammar School Plenty Campus Primary students shone in two magnificent performances of Peter Pan on the 12 and 13 August at Plenty Ranges Arts & Convention Centre.
The classic novel by J.M. Barrie with music and lyrics by Piers Chater-Robinson brought back childhood memories for many in the audience.
The concerts showcased the whole primary school, with the Year 5 and 6 students playing the lead characters while being supported by the younger students singing and dancing as fairies, Pirates, Lost Boys and Indians.
Students learnt a variety of skills during the audition, rehearsal and performance stages of putting on the show. These displayed direct links with English, The Arts, and Physical, Personal and Social Learning outcomes.
The performances were the culmination of many, many hours of work from all staff and students. The result of all this hard work was wonderful.
