Jesus Christ Superstar

Emmaus College, Rockhampton, Queensland - July 17 – 19th 2009

Emmaus College is a co-educational college of approximately 1100 students from years 8 – 12. It was befitting this year to choose as our 25th consecutive Musical production, Jesus Christ Superstar.
The musical was a special one for us, as we as a community celebrated with many past students and staff members past musicals, and many of them returned for the functions coinciding with the production. An exceptional cast of very strong singers also assisted in enabling the show to sell out to audiences. Students from all levels are invited to join the school musical in the areas of performance on stage, backstage and in the orchestra. This year we boasted a cast of 92 students and 130 students in all participating. The team of adults supporting the students is huge as staff, parents and past students work together with the students to bring the best possible production to the stage. Emmaus College has a long tradition in the performing arts, and students are offered many opportunities to show case their talents throughout the year, through a variety of on stage opportunities and smaller community and school events.
