Perth Secrets History Tour With Famous Sharron
If you are looking for a FringeWorld show that allows you to lean and laugh at the same time, Perth Secrets History Tour with Famous Sharron is a great combination of history and humour, with the bonus of a little light exercise in the mix. Running Friday and Saturday nights, with Perthonality Famous Sharron, this is different and a delight.
Fantastic tales of Perth’s underworld, featuring murders, brothels and hangings, through to papal knights and tree felling and some little known LGBTI+ stories, participants follow the fabulously attired Sharron through the city, wearing “silent disco technology” headsets and having a ball. Just a warning that Sharron being so famous does attract a lot of attention from passers-by, so be prepared for lots of horn honking, shoutouts and admiring glances. The great part is that you can pretend you are famous too.
Sharron is a first-rate comedienne who provides a plethora of laughs and knows her stuff as well.
Participants are given access to a secret webpage that expands on the tour with original photos and more information, so you can relive the experience afterwards, and you’ll know so much about Perth history that you will be able to ‘entertain’ your friends as you walk past city landmarks for years.
The walk is 2.7 km and done at an easy pace over two hours, so accessible for most people, and could be done in an electric wheelchair or on a scooter. The team look after participants with care.
A very different night out that entertains and educates. A terrific little tour.
