More Sh*t We Like To Sing
The sequel to popular Fringe World show Sh*t We Like To Sing was bright and comedic, a fun celebration of well-known and more obscure Musical Theatre tunes, all given a Feet First Collective twist.
Six talented and very personable performers share the stage and play off the audience to create an hour of quality entertainment. Opening with a prologue of sorts - the only song not technically from a musical - “The Sexy Getting Ready Song” fromTV show CrazyEx-Girlfriend, well led by compere/performer Dylan Dorotich sets the show up nicely, before the opening number proper, Chicago’s “Cell Block Tango”.
Highlights of the show include the beauty of “This World Will Remember Us” from Bonnie and Clyde, gorgeously sung by James Dalgleish and Grace Johnson, Charlotte Louise’s dynamic performance of “Show Off” from The Drowsy Chaperone, Max Conroy’s sensitive rendition of “No One Must Ever Know” and Matthew Arnold’s brilliant tapping.
The final number, complete with costume change, from Moulin Rouge ends the show on a high. Kudos to choreographer Shannon Rogers, vocal director Grace Johnson and director Dylan Dorotich for a smooth, well-performed, well-curated show.
A great taster-plate show that left its audience smiling.
