Milo Edwards - How Revolting! Sorry to Offend

Milo Edwards - How Revolting! Sorry to Offend
Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Chinese Museum – Jade Room. March 27 – April 20, 2025

A British stand-up comedian with a  lot to say about  his world, the world and everything else that needs a poke, stir and dig, Milo Edwards is a thirty something male who unashamedly hails from the bogan part of Essex - proud of his chequered family roots and  his  very  posh Cambridge education.

He presents himself as a loquacious oddball with quirks and kinks while very matter of fact about the snobby  British Ruling class that he so happens to mix with. He is  tricky and calculated and always  contrasts his central theme with  hilarious  family tales about his larger-than-life Grandma Peg and her homegrown accolades.

Edwards talks a lot about his ex-posh girlfriend, discussing the pros and cons of dating rich and wealthy women. Despite appeasing their abrasive snobbery - his brand of comedy reveals his emotional frustration and shines light on his cutting-edge leftist opinions on class structure, the state of the globe and climate change.

He is defiantly one of a kind; he cut his teeth doing student sketch comedy at the Famous Cambridge Footlights. He is modern, punchy and  ‘highly  opinionated’. His material is impeccably crafted and has gained a successful international reputation with podcasts run together will like minded comedians including Trashfuture -a show about politics, technology and the future, and Glue Factory, a show about animal rights and social politics.

Milo Edwards is a new breed of comedian, fiercely talented and knows how  to   rattle and roll  and shake  people  with more than just your average guffaw.

I highly recommend the show.
