I Love the Nightlife

I Love the Nightlife is a tribute to the music of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, both the movie and musical. Artist Peter Cumins, who is one of the pandemic’s gifts back to Perth, has a long relationship with the musical and celebrates the fabulous music in this hour-long cabaret.

Looking wonderful in a blue suit and the best shoes since Dorothy, Peter gives the audience lots of little-known Priscilla-trivia. It isn’t surprising that his knowledge is great - having performed in four different productions - the UK and International Tour, Auckland, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the recent Platinum Production here in Perth. 

Blessed with a gorgeous voice that simply soars, Peter is also a consummate performer who shows a genuine affection for his audience. People are encouraged to sing along and dance in the aisles - and they do. Highlights include the title song, “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, “It’s Raining Men” and “True Colours”. but every song is a banger and the audience have a ball.

Peter is well supported by Musical Director and arranger Joe Louis Robinson on keys and Jarrad Van Dort on guitar.

A great choice for fans of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, but will be enjoyed by anyone who loves a rainbow anthem or just a great song. A celebration of a show, where a fabulous time is had by all.
