Eurovision on Tour
Top mage: The full line up of performers standing on stage.
Eurovision on Tour brings the world’s most iconic song contest to live audiences across Australia, marking the first time Eurovision has hit the road for an international tour. Celebrating 68 years of music, culture, and unforgettable performances, this event is a tribute to Eurovision’s impact on fans worldwide and a testament to its passionate Australian fanbase. Featuring an impressive lineup of past contestants and fan favorites from across Europe, the show brings the magic, spectacle, and community spirit of Eurovision directly to Australian fans, making it a historic event for both Eurovision lovers and live music enthusiasts.
Eurovision on Tour brought all the spectacle, energy, and camaraderie of the Eurovision Song Contest, transforming The Tivoli into an immersive, electric experience that felt more like a festival than a concert. Without seats to hold them back, fans danced, cheered, and mingled, creating an atmosphere that was as much a celebration of community as it was of music. This wasn’t just a night to sit back and watch; it was a night to live and breathe Eurovision, up close and personal.

The energy of the night was elevated by vibrant staging that turned "Eurovision on Tour" into a series of mini-spectacles, each performance unfolding with its own flair. Lighting and projections were spot-on and perfectly matched each artist’s unique vibe. The backup dancers were fantastic, with choreography that flowed seamlessly alongside each act. Unfortunately, there were a few moments where the open-floor setup made it hard to see all the dancers, but the energy was so contagious that you didn’t mind.
Leading the charge were hosts Soraya and Senhit, who brought a ton of personality to the night. Soraya was warm and funny, keeping the crowd entertained between acts and even chatting with the audience like old friends. Senhit, known as the “Freaky Queen,” didn’t stay on stage; she got right into the audience, joking around and asking people about “Aussie food” (her discovery of the word “schnitty” turned into a running joke). Their vibe was laid-back and genuine, making the crowd feel like they were all part of one big Eurovision family. Meanwhile, their individual performances were stunning displays of the sheer talent it takes to be a part of such a prestigious competition.

Australian favourite, Dami Im, was the star of the evening, captivating her home crowd with her impressive vocal control and emotional depth. As she took the stage, the audience’s excitement was palpable, and she more than met their expectations. Performing her iconic Eurovision hit, “Sound of Silence,” Im brought the song to life once again, drawing the crowd into the haunting melody that had originally won the hearts of Eurovision fans worldwide.

Efendi from Azerbaijan created a visual spectacle, stepping out adorned in a shimmering gold and fire-themed outfit that perfectly matched the Egyptian-inspired projections lighting up the stage behind her. With a backdrop that transformed the venue into what felt like a royal palace, Efendi’s performance radiated opulence and mystique, transporting the audience to another time and place.
Lithuania’s The Roop was delightfully eccentric with a one-of-a-kind performance that perfectly captured Eurovision’s fun and vibrant spirit. The band’s dance moves mixed robotic, mechanical gestures with fluid, clockwork-like sequences, creating a visual effect that was as mesmerizing as it was unusual.
Nicki French delivered one of the most memorable moments of the night, singing "Don't Play That Song Again" along with the UK’s 1997 Eurovision winning entry, "Love Shine a Light." For "Love Shine a Light," her dancers signed the lyrics, adding a beautiful and inclusive touch that highlighted Eurovision’s heart for connecting with everyone.

Sergei Yalovitsky and Sergey Stepanov from Moldova’s SunStroke Project brought a completely different energy to the room, whipping the audience into a frenzy with their signature blend of catchy beats and high-energy antics. The crowd erupted as soon as the “Epic Sax Guy” appeared on stage, his legendary sax solo instantly recognizable and as infectious as ever. The entire room seemed to come alive, with fans dancing and cheering along. The sax solo has become a Eurovision classic, and seeing it performed live was a highlight that had everyone taking their phones out to capture the moment.

Each performer brought their own unforgettable flair to the night, creating an experience as varied and vibrant as Eurovision itself. Representing Cyprus, young Australian-born talent Silia Kapsis showcased Eurovision’s future, delivering high-energy, club-style hits. Esther Hart from the Netherlands and Jalisse from Italy brought touches of nostalgia, offering glimpses into Eurovision’s rich history that balanced beautifully with the night’s fresh sounds. Emmelie de Forest from Denmark captivated the audience with her ethereal voice, evoking the magic of her 2013 Eurovision victory. Ireland’s Linda Martin showed that her vocal power and stage charisma have only strengthened over time, commanding the audience with every note. Romanian duo Ovi and Ilinca charmed fans with their upbeat, playful performance, effortlessly drawing the crowd into their catchy rhythms. Destiny from Malta captivated the audience with her incredible vocal power and fierce stage presence, embodying the kind of energy that Eurovision fans live for. Meanwhile, Suzy from Portugal took things up a notch by roping the audience into a conga line that wove all throughout the dancefloor.

Eurovision on Tour turned the night into a full-on celebration, ditching traditional concert vibes for something more like a giant party. This isn’t a show to just watch—it’s one to experience, with all the dancing, singing, and cheering that Eurovision fans know and love. So, wear comfy shoes, bring your best energy, and dive into a night that brings Eurovision’s magic right to you.
