Comma Sutra
Self-confessed Grammar Nerd Louisa Fitzhardinge has created this clever word based cabaret, looking at grammar, spelling, punctuation and language.
Personable, intelligent and self-deprecating, Louisa quickly formed a bond with her late-night audience, a crowd with an appreciation for a well placed comma and appropriately applied apostrophe.
Accompanied by Greg Lavell on piano and piano-accordion, Louisa’s gorgeous renditions of her original songs and witty parodies, were delightful, and very warmly received.
Highlights included her sexy ‘Grammar Makes Me Hot’, the bitter-sweet childhood tale ‘The Little Bookworm’ and the perplexing ‘German Rap’. Equally confident as a raconteur and comedian, Louisa’s show is pacy, includes some friendly audience interaction and lots of twists.
The finale is the impressive performance of ‘What A Wonderful World’ performed in four languages with a surprise added degree of difficulty.
Comma Sutra is perhaps the most cerebral, intelligent cabaret show you’re likely to experience and a logophile’s seventh heaven.
