Bubble Show in Space
One of the best things about FringeWorld aligning with WA School Holidays is the great kids shows that are on offer, and Bubble Show in Space is a great example. This wild, energetic bubble adventure had its large audience captivated throughout - a nosy party of a show that entertained tots to preteens seemingly with ease.
Loveable clown Milkshake wants a star that she can make bubbles with, so she joins her bubble expert friend Dr Bubble to make a bubble rocket in which they can travel to space. Along the way they meet aliens and form friendships, eventually retrieving the much-desired star. The plot, while cute, is secondary to the organised chaos and great stage skills of the two performers who manipulate puppets, smoke and a little stage magic to create a wondrous little show.
Excellent bubbly skills from effervescent entertainers that no-doubt inspire their young audience members to try to replicate at home, which is no doubt achievable at least one a small scale.
The show begins with the young audience taking a vow, that no matter how much they want to, they will not run up onto the stage and pop the bubbles - a promise that pays off with a mass bubble release into the audience at the end of the show.
A wonderful and wild treat to end the holidays.
