Brodi Snook – Villain
The thirty something Brodi Snook is a full bag of sardonic wit and cheeky humour; she shifts and shapes a clever narrative around her anxieties while her villainous sub- conscious pulsates between visits to her therapist. Beginning her funny hour with talk of a “shaved pussy”, requesting audiences to show hands for or against, all who were a little reticent to reveal their preference laughed at her brazen feminist humour, while she admonished men and submissive women.
Snook has been around the comedy circuit for over ten years working across Australia and in the United Kingdom, where she was living before Covid. She claims she needs to be more assertive and sadly finds herself apologising to anyone and anything for simply no reason. She wants to stop being a “people pleaser” and stop the “toxic positivity”.
Her hard-earned experiences as a stand-up comedian are her grab and go bite size gags, from the shallow minded anal bleaches on the Gold Coast to the Saab Uber drivers. Meanwhile her battles with the immigration department to bring her fiancée over from England during Covid are harrowing yet so damn funny, while her go-too celebrity jokes hang on Christina Aguilera.
Her dark side surfaces, the lights go down and the menacing red light surrounds her face like a halo of evil; she reveals her villainous side, her murderous thoughts, her scathing disposition. And then back to her vaginal reality while crooning over her young hunky dumb doctor and his home remedies to combat her chronic thrush.
Brodi Snook is a superb comic; sharp as a box cutter and does not miss a trick.
