A Chat with Fantine, Cosette and Eponine

Packemin Productions will transport audiences to nineteenth century France as they bring one of the world’s most iconic musicals, Les Misérables, to life at Riverside Theatres, Parramatta.

At the core of this incredible story there are characters who fight against societal norms and fight for love and revolution, in their own particular ways. They bring us into a world of despair and make us feel hopeful for the future and that “even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.”

Luckiest Productions, in association with Hayes Theatre Co, has announced the cast for their forthcoming production of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical Merrily We Roll Along. A Broadway fable about friendship, compromise and the high price of success, Merrily We Roll Along is running from 16 April 2020 at the Hayes Theatre Co.

Rolling Thunder Vietnam

Season postponed!

Concert drama Rolling Thunder Vietnam is returning for a national tour in 2020. The production mixes classic 1960s rock songs and video footage with a series of monologues based on actual letters sent by Australian soldiers. Tom Oliver has played the lead role since the show premiered in 2014. He told David Spicer that he has been inspired by the reaction of Vietnam Veterans to the production.

American Psycho – The Musical will be presented in the Sydney Opera House Playhouse from 4 – 21 June, 2020. Sexy, dark and disturbing, the production is returning after a successful season at the Hayes Theatre Co. in 2019 that earned the musical nine 2020 Sydney Theatre Awards.

Sydney Season for Come From Away

Producers Rodney Rigby and Junkyard Dog Productions have announced that the Tony and Olivier award-winning musical COME FROM AWAY will open at Sydney’s State Theatre on Saturday 8 August 2020.

While waiting to interview Mr Suchet, I took the opportunity to speak to Poroit himself and ask his opinion of Suchet and the other great actors who have interpreted him.
