Come From Away – the musical that began with 16,000 true stories

With the hit Broadway musical Come From Away opening in Melbourne, Michael Brindley speaks to some of the real people who provided the inspiration for the show, set in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and explores the adaptation of their stories to the stage.

Sydney's Belvoir Street Theatre was the big winner at the Helpmann Awards held in Melbourne for the first time - taking out 12 awards including the double of Best Play and Best Musical.

Brisbane audiences will be treated to a taste of a Parisian style revue this July when Cabaret De Paris plays at Brisbane’s QPAC for three shows only. This spectacular event combines old-fashioned showgirl glamour with variety style entertainment. Theatre producer John Frost has announced that the Broadway hit SHREK THE MUSICAL is coming to Australia. This lavish multi-million dollar musical will open at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, The Star in early January 2020, followed by seasons at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne and the Lyric Theatre, Brisbane.
