Breaking: The Australian premiere of an American in Paris - due to open in Brisbane - has been postponed due to an outbreak of Covid-19. Seasons in Perth and Adelaide have also been postponed.

Southern Cross Soloists Announce 2022 Season

Australian chamber music group, Southern Cross Soloists (SXS) have announced their 2022 Season. The SXS collective has been featuring some of Australia’s leading instrumental soloists for 27 years, 13 of those in partnership with Brisbane's Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). To celebrate that close relationship, all performances of the SXS 2022 concert series will take place at QPAC's Concert Hall.

Circus Oz Folds Tent

The Board of Circus Oz has announced that it has taken the "devastating" decision to close the company founded more than 40 years ago because of "systematic issues holding back the company."

In statement released today the Board stated that  "After surviving the pandemic challenges and recently emerging with new artform support initiatives, audience engagement programs and launching 2022 shows, the Board acknowledges this is a devasting blow to the current teams of creatives, circus artists and employees."

Playwrights Recognised at 54th Annual AWGIE Awards

On December 7, 2021 the Australian Writers’ Guild will celebrate an outstanding field of Australian screen and stage writers at the 54th Annual AWGIE Awards.

Darlinghurst Theatre Company has announced that its long-awaited new production of A Chorus Line will open at the Drama Theatre of the Sydney Opera House on 11 February 2022, after premiering at Parramatta Riverside Theatre in January as part of the Sydney Festival.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical for Sydney

Global Creatures has announced that Moulin Rouge! The Musical will commence performances at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on 28 May 2022.

Tickets for the Sydney season go on sale to the general public on Thursday 16 December, with pre-sale tickets available to waitlist members from Monday 13 December.
