2017 Rob Guest Endowment Award Winners Announced

The winner of the 2017 Rob Guest Endowment Award was announced om Monday January 22, 2018, during the Grand Final Event held at the Capitol Theatre Rehearsal Room. Competing against five other outstanding Semi-Finalists with her performance of Glitter and be Gay andWhen Did I Fall in LoveGeorgina Hopson took out the prestigious award after being chosen by an expert panel of judges, which included Roger Hodgman, Kellie Dickerson, Sharon Millerchip, Michael Tyack, Guy Simpson and Suzanne Jones.

2017 Sydney Theatre Awards

The winners of the 2017 Sydney Theatre Awards were announced on Monday January 22, with 37 Awards presented, shared between 18 productions which played in Sydney during the calendar year of 2017. Over 450 members of the Sydney theatre community packed the Everest Theatre at the Seymour Centre to celebrate the best of Sydney theatre.

Muriel's Wedding Returns To Sydney In 2019

With the sold-out season at Roslyn Packer Theatre set to close this Saturday Carmen Pavlovic, Global Creatures CEO has announced that Muriel’s Wedding The Musical will return in July, 2019 at the Sydney Lyric. Tickets to the new season go on sale on Wednesday 20 February, 2018. 

Curious Incident to Tour Nationally

The National Theatre of Great Britain’s Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will tour Australia for the first time from June 2018, following its acclaimed sell-out debut season in Melbourne. The play will be performed in Brisbane from 12 June, Canberra from 27 June, Sydney from 4 July, Adelaide from 31 July and Perth from 8 August, by an all-British and Irish cast.
