Peter Pan Goes Wrong: Cast Announced

The producers of the West End comedy Peter Pan Goes Wrong, which tours Australia from 19 December to 17 March 2019, have announced that they have managed to convince 10 incredibly talented actors – including movie and musical theatre star Jay Laga’aia – to perform in the Olivier-nominated play.  The tour follows hot on the wobbly heels of last year’s Olivier Award-winning comedy hit The Play That Goes Wrong.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Casting Announced

Four of the Golden Ticket winners and other members of the cast of the new musical Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory have been announced. Roald Dahl’s delicious tale will be playing only in Sydney at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from 5 January 2019.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Australian Cast

Producers Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions have announced the cast of the Australian premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The Australian cast of 42 performers will be led by Gareth Reeves as Harry Potter, Paula Arundell as Hermione Granger, Gyton Grantley as Ron Weasley, Lucy Goleby as Ginny Potter, Sean Rees-Wemyss as Albus Potter, Tom Wren as Draco Malfoy and William McKenna as Scorpius Malfoy.

Black Swan Season 2019

Following a successful debut season in 2018, artistic director Clare Watson continues her imaginative programming. In 2019 the company explores Where The Heart Is - about family, and in particular, the myriad of Australian families. Clare sees the programme as ‘a collection of characters and stories that explore belonging. It asks us what it means to be a citizen and belong to a community.’

Queensland Theatre Season 2019

Queensland Theatre will present five world premieres in 2019. It begins with the world premiere of Hydra, award-winning playwright Sue Smith’s portrait of writers Charmian Clift and George Johnston. This is followed by the world premiere of City of Gold by young actor Meyne Wyatt.
