36th Annual Matilda Awards Announce 2023 Winners

Queensland’s premier theatre awards have announced this year’s winners of the 36th annual Matilda Awards, following an awards ceremony at the Brisbane Powerhouse on Monday 26th February, 2024.    

The shortlist of nominees contested across 20 categories, recognising the work of a range of Queensland theatre makers, from emerging to established artists, mainstage and independent productions, new Australian work, and expertise in design.

Sister Act Musical for Australia

Praise be! The habit is coming to Australia. John Frost for Crossroads Live is delighted to announce the arrival of Sister Act, which will make its Australian debut from August 2024. 

The production of the Broadway and UK hit musical comedy will open at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney in August 2024 and the Regent Theatre in Melbourne from November 2024.
