It has supported thirty five projects and involved one hundred and fifty artists over its short life.

STC Announces Surplus in 2013

At its Annual General Meeting today (May 19, 2014), Sydney Theatre Company (STC) announced an operating profit of $431,000 for 2013, on a turnover of $35M.

Releasing the Company’s Annual Report, Chairman David Gonski said: “The 2013 program, the last by Andrew Upton and Cate Blanchett as STC’s Co-Artistic Directors, proved to be enormously successful in both artistic and commercial terms, attracting rave reviews and extraordinary attendances across the year.”

WICKED Performance Raises $80,000 Plus to Support beyondblue

A cheque for almost $83,000 was presented to beyondblue at the final dress rehearsal performance of WICKED on May 4, 2014 at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.

The hit Broadway musical is beyondblue’s official charity partner and donated the full takings of the sold out performance to help raise awareness of depression and anxiety.

beyondblue CEO Kate Carnell said the donation would go towards continuing beyondblue’s work reducing stigma and encouraging people to take action to get help for depression and anxiety.
