Celebrating long-departed souls is something that classical musicians do on a daily basis as they reconnect with the muses and angels of yesteryear. Brisbane-based Ensemble Q are completing their 2024 season with a special end-of-year party family concert, with a fun Halloween theme. Producers of the Tony®, Olivier®, and Grammy® award-winning production THE BOOK OF MORMON have announced principal casting for the production opening in Sydney in July 2025.
As WICKED celebrates its 21st anniversary of the Broadway opening on Wednesday 30 October with National WICKED Day, an extra final week of performances up until 2 February 2025 has been released for the Perth season. These additional performances are now on pre-sale with general public sales from Friday 1 November. BOOK HERE. WICKED will fly into Crown Theatre from 15 December as the final stop on its Australian tour.
While there has been rumours that multiple gay players exist, there is no openly gay player - past or present - in the men's AFL. A new Australian musical, One Day in September, explores the fictional story of a professional footballer grappling with his personal and private lives and opens at the Athenaeum 2 in Melbourne from 28 – 30 November 2024.
