Come From Away to Premiere in Melbourne

On September 11, 2001 the world stopped.

On September 12, 2001 their stories moved us all.

Producers Rodney Rigby and Junkyard Dog Productions have announced that Melbourne will host the exclusive Australian premiere of acclaimed Broadway musical Come From Away.

Qpening at the Comedy Theatre, on Saturday 20 July 2019, the production will benefit from a major refurbishment to the 90-year-old heritage listed venue including new chairs and improved patron amenities

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for Sydney

It has been announced that theatre producers John Frost, Craig Donnell, Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and Neal Street Productions will be bringing the new musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in January 2019.

Vale Peter Stannard

Australian composer Peter Stannard has died at the age of 86, just months before the musical he penned sixty years ago -  Lola Montez - is due for a professional concert revival.

Peter Stannard was born in Sydney in 1931. He began piano studies at the age of 12, but lessons were curtailed six months later due to evacuation from Sydney during World War II.
