Following its sold-out, critically acclaimed engagement in Sydney, Australia last August, The Present, Andrew Upton’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s first play, Platonov, will be presented on Broadway for a limited engagement in the early Winter of 2016.

With the Sydney Theatre Company all-Australian cast including Cate Blanchett and Richard Roxburgh, The Present will be directed by John Crowley. Set and costume design is by Alice Babidge with lighting design by Nick Schlieper. Stefan Gregory is Sound Designer and Composer.

Port Augusta will get a taste of the Adelaide Fringe for the ninth annual Desert Fringe in March 2016, featuring a program of local and international talent, a twilight concert headlined by world renowned performer Archie Roach and a host of local artists including many talented Aboriginal performers.

With 19 artists over two days and a wide range of activities to suit all ages (many of them free), there’ll be no excuse to stay away from this year’s Desert Fringe.
