Aussie Physical Theatre Performer to Tour Internationally

Wolfe Bowart will tour LaLaLuna and Letter’s End internationally, following the premiere of his latest production, The Man the Sea Saw Following on from his 43-venue tour of Australia with Letter’s End in 2009, physical theatre creator/performer Wolfe Bowart is gearing up for a year of global touring in 2010.

DAME EDNA BOWS OUT EARLY ON BROADWAY.

After just two weeks ALL ABOUT ME, Dame Edna and Michael Feinstein's show closed at the Henry Miller Theatre. Expectations were high for the show that was advertised as  1 Megastar, 1 Gigastar, a 12 Piece orchestra, over 40 songs, and 22 ladies lavatories. The latter a reference to the hopelessly inadequate toilet facilities (especially for women) in Broadway theatres. The critics thought the concept (two stars booked into the same theatre at the same time) was tired. They likened it to a 1950s TV variety show.

Youtube Quest for New Musical’s Star

A new Australian musical, Beaudy, by Australian musician Michael Orland, is set to irreverently transport classic 17th century fairytale The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods to modern day Australia.

Australianised and updated, Beaudy is a spruced up old-fashioned tale filled with original music, laughs and familiar icons. It has its World Premiere season at the Parade Theatres, Kensington, NSW, from July 7.

Wicked Cast Go Into The Woods

The Wicked cast's one night only concert performance of Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods, on May 17, 2010 at Sydney's Capitol Theatre, raised over $90,000, and still counting, for the ANZ Trustees Foundation: Rob Guest Endowment. The funds were raised through ticket sales, an auction and donations.
