2025 at The Round
Following a successful debut year, Melbourne’s newest premier performing arts venue, The Round, in Nunawading, has revealed its 2025 season lineup. With the theme 'Electric,' the upcoming season will feature performances from international and local award-winning acts.
Subscription packages for the new year are now available, offering savings, priority seat selection, pay-over-time options and more.
After opening its doors in October of 2023, The Round has delivered a program of professional theatre and music, including shows such as Kate Miller-Heidke, Opera Australia’s La Boheme and Melbourne Theatre Company’s Slap. Bang. Kiss.
Featuring a 626-seat proscenium theatre, 203-seat studio theatre, outdoor soundshell, two multipurpose rehearsal studios and versatile function spaces, The Round is an ideal venue for business, community or private use.
As a hub for the local community and beyond, The Round’s new season will showcase a diverse range of productions including comedy, dance, drag parodies, plays and live music.
Highlight shows of the 2025 season will include:
Soweto Gospel Choir: Hope – An all-new concert by the Grammy®-winning Soweto Gospel Choir, celebrating songs and anthems from the Freedom movement of Nelson Mandela’s South Africa, back to the Civil Rights Movement of Martin Luther King’s 1950’s America.
Life in Plastic - Christie Whelan Browne takes the audience from girlhood to womanhood and motherhood through pop songs, anecdotes and a few surprising costume changes. This deeply personal, bubblegum pop cabaret is an array of disco hits and a celebration of sisterhood, because girls just wanna have fundamental rights.
The Wet by Circa Cairns – Created by a new First Nations-led circus ensemble, THE WET is an acrobatic show that has been created on Country across Far North Queensland, drawing on the ancient stories of the wet tropics to connect everyone to country.
Fountain Lakes In Lockdown: A Drag Parody Play – Relive the Melburnian pandemic experience through the eyes of Kath and Kim in this camp drag parody, following a sold-out season at The Sydney Opera House.
The Wharf Revue: The End Of The Wharf As We Know It – After 25 years of satirising Australian politics, The Wharf Revue takes its final bow with caricatures of famous political figures like Keating, Howard, Gillard, and Abbott in a bittersweet farewell.
Niusia – A biographical show exploring generational stories and family legacy, this Melbourne production delves into the life of Holocaust survivor Niusia, as told through the eyes of her granddaughter, Beth.
Todd McKenney: Peter and Me – Celebrate 40 years in showbiz with Todd McKenney in this tribute to his idol Peter Allen, featuring Allen’s greatest hits and other favourites of Todd’s performed live on stage,
Scenes From The Climate Era - A theatre piece from Belvoir St Theatre, centering on a group of friends as they reflect on the past and the difficult beauty of tomorrow in a world shifting due to climate change.
Paulini Sings the American Divas – Hear ARIA award-winning, R&B-pop artist and songwriter PAULINI live as she performs some of the greatest hits in American music history, showcasing her angelic, five-octave range.
1984 by George Orwell – Strap in for thiis take on the George Orwell classic from Shake & Stir.
Duck Pond by Circa – A reimagining of the world’s most romantic ballet, this circus spectacular features Circa’s signature aerials and acrobatics, infused with contemporary energy and cheeky humour.
The Voice of The Viola: Fiona Sargeant presented by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra – Be captivated by the sonorous sounds of the viola anchoring Hindemith’s concerto and Brahms’ Second Serenade in this stunning concert featuring MSO musician Fiona Sargeant.

Subscriptions for the 2025 season are available to book now, with single tickets available from 14 January.
Located close to Nunawading Railway Station, the venue is easily accessible via public transport whilst also hosting free guest parking for those who opt to drive.
