Strictly Ballroom The Musical at PLOS

PLOS Musical Productions has announced details of the cast and creative team for its July-August 2023 season of the all Australian musical, Strictly Ballroom The Musical.

Strictly Ballroom The Musical will open at the Frankston Arts Centre on July 28July 2023 for a limited season.

Mitchell Smith will star as Scott Hastings in this production, bringing a strong theatre resume and experience to the role and is excited to undertake the lead role.

Returning to PLOS; after a few years away and cast in the role of Fran is Guada Bañez.

Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom The Musical includes songs including the iconic “Love Is In The Air”, “Time After Time” and “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps”, along with new musical numbers written by among others Baz Luhrmann and Eddie Perfect.

Strictly Ballroom The Musical follows PLOS’ well received productions of Chicago and The Boy from Oz that saw the company returning to the stage after two and a half years away from the theatre.
