Ayckbourn's Role Play at Cronulla

James Bruce directs the second production for 2015 at Arts Theatre Cronulla. Role Play is a 2001 play by British playwright Alan Ayckbourn, who focuses on comedy plays about middle-class life in England. This one is no exception, set in an apartment in London's Docklands and telling the story of Julie-Ann Jobson (Erin Youngblutt) and Justin Lazenby (James Phipps) who are preparing to entertain their respective parents and announce their engagement.

Tiger Stalks WA Stage In Comedy Drama set During Iraq War

A PULITZER Prize-nominated play that featured Robin Williams on Broadway is coming to Playlovers Theatre during May 2015.

Written by Rajiv Joseph and directed by Andre Victor, Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo is a comic drama about the lives of two US marines and an Iraqi translator who encounter a quick-witted tiger on the streets of war-torn Baghdad.

As it witnesses the puzzling absurdities of war, the tiger – played by Williams on Broadway – attempts to find meaning, forgiveness and redemption among the city’s ruins.

Evita’s Dress Unveiled

Shakespeare Comedy with a 1950s Twist

Shakespeare's feast of humour and sexual politics, The Taming of the Shrew, is being reimagined in 1950s Italy when Phoenix Ensemble presents the classic comedy at Beenleigh’s Pavilion Theatre over four weekends in April and May 2015.

The Taming of the Shrew is a romp through the romantic entanglements of the Minola sisters: "shrewish" Katherina and her “sweet” younger sister Bianca.
