Little Mermaid to Make a Splash at Beenleigh
One for all the family, Phoenix Ensemble presents a little slice of Disney magic to the Pavilion Theatre at Beenleigh, SE QLD, with the musical, The Little Mermaid.
Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and, of course, the 1989 animated movie, The Little Mermaid tells the story of the strong willed mermaid, Ariel and her determination to be “where the people are”. Now the stage musical will play at the boutique Pavilion Theatre for a limited season.
Starring former Miss World Australia finalist and WAAPA trained performer, Lauren Ashlea Fraser, the show is directed by Morgan Garrity (Legally Blonde, The Addams Family, Jesus Christ Superstar) with music direction by Julie Whiting.
Enjoy your favourite characters including Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle as they help Ariel reach her dreams, whilst foiling the machinations of the evil Ursula, the sea witch! Featuring songs like “Part Of That World”, “Under The Sea” and “Kiss The Girl”, The Little Mermaid will take family audiences on an underwater journey complete with wondrous sea creatures, manic French chefs and mermaids.
The show opens 30 September and runs until 22 October.
