Javeenbah Presents Pulitzer Prize Winner Rabbit Hole
Javeenbah Theatre (Gold Coast, Qld) presents David Lindsay-Abaire’s Rabbit Hole, from May 15 – 30, 2015.
A profound and painfully touching examination of grief, the play follows the story of a young couple who embark on a bitter-sweet search for comfort in the darkest of places after a terrible family tragedy.
When the Pulitzer Prize winner comes to the Javeenbah Theatre stage in May, Director Barry Gibson says audiences can expect ‘to be moved emotionally’.
“Rabbit Hole is a beautifully crafted drama laced with wit, compassion and searing honesty,” Mr Gibson said. “I’m fortunate to have such a strong team who are working as a single unit - we aim to uphold the very high standards for which Javeenbah Theatre has become well regarded.”
Mr Gibson’s last directorial stint at Javeenbah saw him win the coveted Best Director of a Community Theatre Play prize at the Gold Coast Area Theatre Awards for Aussie comedy Caravan.
His latest endeavour, Rabbit Hole, is expected to be as equally well received. “Audiences can expect a quality production, have a good laugh and be moved emotionally,” he said.
“Javeenbah Theatre is committed to delivering cutting edge productions and Rabbit Hole is no exception.”
The cast ofRabbit Hole features Jacy Moore, Dean Mayer, Emily Scanlon, Del Halpin and Andrew Barnes.
