Head Over Heels Kicks Off The Regals 80th Anniversary Season

The Regals Musical Society proudly celebrates its 80th Anniversary in with the NSW premiere of Head Over Heels! This vibrant jukebox musical, set to the iconic hits of The Go-Go's, will run at Rockdale Town Hall from 14-23 February 2025, as part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras+ 2025. The production kicks off a year-long celebration of The Regals' eight decades of bringing community theatre to Southern Sydney.

"We are thrilled to launch our anniversary celebrations with the NSW premiere of Head Over Heels. This production is not only a love letter to our past but also a joyful embrace of inclusivity and the enduring power of theatre."

Set to chart-topping hits like "We Got the Beat", "Our Lips Are Sealed", and "Vacation", Head Over Heels reimagines Elizabethan romance with a modern twist. With its high- a heartfelt message of love and acceptance, the show is a perfect match for Mardi Gras and fans of musicals like Moulin Rouge!, & Juliet, and Titanique.

The Regals Musical Society has been a cornerstone of the Southern Sydney arts community since its founding in 1945. Over the decades, the society has showcased incredible local talent and brought beloved stories to life. This 80th Anniversary season promises to be a fitting tribute to the group’s storied history, with Head Over Heels as the opening act of a year full of celebration and reflection.
