The 2013 Victorian Drama League Awards, the 17th annual awards, were presented on Sunday December 8. 27 productions from 27 companies were entered this year. Best Drama Production went to The Basin Theatre Group’s The Woman in Black, which took out a total of six awards. Best Comedy Production went to Lilydale Athenaeum Theatre Company’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor, with a total of three awards.

The Griffin Theatre Company recently commissioned Quack after Ian Wilding won the Patrick White Playwrights’ Award in 2009.
