Enchanted April at Pymble in May
For those longing for a life of wisteria and sunshine…..
Pymble Players production of Enchanted April by Matthew Barber opens on May 4, 2016 and runs until May 28.
The play follows Lotty and Rose, who are feeling lost and unsettled in the shifting currents of post WW1 London, as they decide to visit Italy without their husbands. They are indeed being very daring.
The pair recruit two other very different women to share the costs. Having left their husbands behind, and now in the Tuscan light and warmth, these women rediscover themselves in ways they could never have imagined. Adapted from the 1922 novel, this warm-hearted play takes us on a restorative journey of discovery, from darkness to light, from inhibition to unrestrained joy.
Directed by Jennifer Willison, the cast features Heather Pitt, Frances Etheridge, William Jordan, Michael Richmond, Amy Crilley, Vicki Nield, Lachlan McNab, and Robyn Williams
