Clue, The Classic Whodunnit, At Henry Lawson Theatre

Calling all mystery-loving theatre goers! Henry Lawson Theatre is rolling out the red carpet for a night of suspense and hilarity with the stage adaptation of Clue — the classic whodunnit that promises thrills, chills, and side-splitting laughter.

Imagine this: It’s a dark and stormy night, and you’re one of the select few invited to Boddy Manor. But beware! This isn’t just any dinner party. On the menu are murder and blackmail, served up with a side of intrigue and chaos. Inspired by the beloved 1985 Paramount movie and the ever-popular board game, "Clue" on stage is a masterpiece of comedy and mystery. You’ll be on the edge of your seat one moment, then rolling in the aisles with laughter the next, as this theatrical rendition brilliantly captures the spirit and essence of the original works.

The Great Whodunnit Mystery Awaits: Could it be Mrs. Peacock lurking in the shadows of the study with a knife? Or perhaps Colonel Mustard waiting patiently in the library with a wrench? And don’t take your eyes off Miss Scarlet—she might just be hiding a candlestick in the kitchen.

Join an ensemble of six eclectic dinner guests as they embark on a whirlwind, slapstick adventure, racing against time to decipher the mystery of who among them could be the dastardly culprit. With an evening filled with twists and turns, your detective skills will be put to the ultimate test!

Director, Rebecca Fletcher is no stranger to the magic of Clue. She recounts a time when watching the film as a youngster with her mother sparked a lifelong passion for this comedic caper. “It’s blend of humour, mystery, and unforgettable one-liners, delivered by an incredible cast including Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Christopher Lloyd, and Madeline Kahn, has captivated me ever since,” Fletcher reflects. Her enthusiasm for the film has fuelled her determination to bring the story to life on stage, making it a true passion project.

With Fletcher at the helm, this production is more than just a play — it’s an invitation to step into a world of delightful chaos and spirited storytelling.

Why just read about it when you can experience it live? Gather your friends, grab your detective hat, and join us for a night of excitement, suspense, and laughter at Henry Lawson Theatre’s production of Clue.
