The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead
The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead, directed by Kaye Lopez at The Theatre on Chester (NSW) from July 29, features a seven-sided love ‘triangle’ where all its secrets are not revealed until the final curtain.
Everyone has a story to tell of the day a deserted wife and mother went berserk in a shopping centre. The lives of friends and strangers are woven together and then abruptly torn apart in this quiet neighbourhood. Hilarious and achingly real, The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead will take you over the backyard fence and into a world that is not hard to recognise. Originally written for one multi-faceted actor to perform all seven roles, Chester Street Theatre will be presenting this play as an ensemble piece. A cast of five will incorporate transformational acting to play a variety of multiple roles. This contemporary and edgy production features a minimalist set with symbolic images, distorted perspective and an expressionist soundscape that, with the actors, reveals a very funny, powerful and thought-provoking story.
